We haven't had a decent winter in this city for years.
Last night, though, when I went to bed, I was wearing...

- nannaish flannelette pyjamas
- knee-high socks
- a scarf (I kid you not)

and the bed was adorned with...

- flannelette sheets
- a hot water bottle, and
- a tabby cat

and I was STILL cold!
